Where The Serpents Grow

Some guy The artist's description is apt. Nicely bridges the gaps between a bunch of subgenres in the dark metal spectrum, creating a unique sound. There's a lot of passion in this album. It's a shame it's so far under the radar. Check it out, doom/dark metal fans! Favorite track: The Shame And Regret.

about

“When the music is a heart tearing expression of sadness”

Where The Serpents Grow is the debut album of Finnish melancholic metal band Silence After Funeral.

While the influences from gothic, doom and Scandinavian metal are present, yet very unorthodox elements are included. That gives unique flavor and strong personality to the band’s already progressive music.

Album tells heart breaking stories about death, unfortunate love and regret. There is no light at the end of the tunnel nor happy-ever-afters, just pure sadness and sorrow.
